Mrs. Lynn Major (Chairman ) - an American married to a Bahamian charter fisherman, Lyn is a former social worker in New Jersey and then became the first counselor at St. Francis De Sales School in Marsh Harbour. While there, she started the first program in the Abacos for special needs children, called Every Child Counts. Under her direction, it is now a separate school providing services to 30 local students and is supported by donations.


Dr. Steve Dodge, Ph.D. - is a former professor of history at Millikin University. He is the author of several books on the history of the Bahamas and THE CRUISING GUIDE TO ABACO. He now makes his home in the Abacos for about 6 months of the year.


Mr. Charles Duncan - is a former college counselor at Milton Academy in Massachusetts. He and his wife spend most of the year in the Abacos.


Dr. Sharon Kossack, Ph.D. - is a professor of Reading and Education at Florida International University. She has been conducting workshops for local Abaco teachers for several years and is involved in the Every Child Counts program.


Dr. Jack Helm - is a retired physician and medical administrator from Virginia. He spends the winter months at his home in the Abacos.
