2007 Awardees
Naason Sands is a graduate of Abaco Central High
School and hopes to attend the College of the Bahamas where he will study
culinary arts. He is the son of Donna Burrows and Robert Sands.
Andre Singh graduated as co-Valedictorian of the 2007 Graduating class of Abaco Central High School. He hopes to pursue an architectural degree at City College in New York. His parents are Partap and Gualty Singh of Marsh Harbour.
Christine Fleurimond graduated from Forest Heights Academy. She plans to attend the College of the Bahamas where she will study Nursing. Her parents are Lacieuse and Roalin Timothee of Treasure Cay.
Kettlyne Durosca is a graduate of S.C. Bootle High School she is currently attending Antillean Adventist University in Puerto Rico where she is studying medicine. Her parents are Toni and Rose Durosca of Fire Road.
Ashley Knowles graduated from Forest Heights Academy and will be pursuing a degree in business management at Florida Southern University. Her parents are Craig and Linda Knowles of Hope Town.
Cheynea Turnquest graduated on the Honor Roll at Forest Heights Academy and wants to pursue a degree in accounting and photography at the College of the Bahamas. She is the daughter of Camille Lowe of Casuarina Point.
Nickesia Jones is a graduate of Abaco Central High School. She is going into her second year studying biology at York College in New York. Nickesia is the daughter of Ingrid Gray of Marsh Harbour.
Latonia King is a co-Valedictorian of the 2007 Graduating class of Abaco Central High School who will pursue a degree in banking and finance at the College of the Bahamas. Her parents are Patrice Neely and Anthony King.
Devonnya Russell graduated from S.C. Bootle High School and will be attending the College of the Bahamas. She will pursue an education in medicine. She is the daughter of Grovernor and Yvonne Russell of Fox Town.
Tajah Deveaux graduated from Abaco Central High school. She will be studying Accounting at the College of the Bahamas. She is the daughter of Adamae Deveaux of Murphy Town.

MONTY ALBURY AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE This award is named for the late Monty Albury of Hope Town, Abaco. Monty was described as being smart, endowed with a sense of humor, a good businessman, a serious community activist, having a great love for the Bahamas; he was a loyal friend and raised a wonderful family. This award is given to student applicants who may or may not require financial aid, but have accomplished so much, worked so diligently, succeeded at such a high level that they demand recognition. The Board of Directors has decided that this award is a great tribute to the memory of Monty Albury.
The first honoree of this award is Bradley Albury, the salutatorian of Forest Heights Academy's graduating class of 2007. He will be attending The University of Georgia at Athens where he will be studying Business Management. He is seen here with his mother, Ruth and his brother, James. Congratulations Bradley!
